	Profile on Peter Belmar (Brief Synopsis)

Peter Belmar has been a practitioner in Kickboxing, Muay Thai and Boxing for over 25 years in London, United Kingdom. He has now re-located to New York.
Peter fought as an amateur boxer for 5 years and as a professional Thai Kickboxer for 15 years, competing throughout Europe,   Thailand and the United States with an outstanding fight record of 79 fights with only 7 defeats.

In 1993, wanting to give something back to his fans and share with others the sport he loves, Peter turned his attention to coaching.

He started running a series of Muay Thai, kickboxing, boxing and fitness programs at Kelmscott Leisure Centre in London. He started with people who were interested in participating in Muay Thai and kickboxing but where not sure if it was right for them, people who where a bit apprehensive but genuinely keen to learn. He introduced other elements into his program, people who wanted to participate as part of a fitness program, or part of a personal safety self defense course. The program developed popularity and operated out of a number of venues in London and Essex. The uniqueness of his program aimed specifically to challenge ones own perceptions about themselves, boost energy levels and improve self-confidence.

As a professional martial artist he has a wealth of knowledge and qualifications in Recreation and Leisure Management having worked for 9 years as a professional sports coach, coaching adults and children from diverse communities.

Peter also has written 2 books - "Thai kickboxing for beginners" and "I Was Just Thinking" which is available from major online bookshops.
 
Combining his fighting background, qualifications and experiences; Peter brings a magnitude of skills knowledge and expertise to his classes.
