Muay Thai, also known as Thai Boxing, originated in
Thailand and dates back thousands of years.
The system utilizes punches and kicks, and also
incorporates elbows, knees, and grappling techniques.
Each part of a Thai fighter’s body is a potentially
lethal weapon, making Muay Thai the most brutal of all

In a Muay Thai contest, a fighter can punch and kick an
opponent’s legs, body, or head using any part of the
leg, knee or elbow.
Although punches can result in a knockout, they do not
score high points from Thai judges, who instead look for
spectacular performance in attack and defence with the
use of kicks, knees, and elbow strikes.
Muay Thai is acknowledged
as one of the most effective forms of martial arts. Students participate in Muay Thai for fitness,
competition and self-defence.
